Spring Term 2021
Happy New Year to all of our wonderful Year 1 children and their families.
We really hope that you have had a joyful and peaceful Christmas break and are looking forward to our new term.
May we take this opportunity to thank you all for your generous gifts, messages and cards.
We were overwhelmed by your kindness.
We understand that this is not quite the start to our school term that we were expecting. But, rest assured, all of the staff at school are working tirelessly to ensure that we continue to provide engaging, exciting and challenging learning opportunities, albeit via an online approach.
We will look forward to 'seeing' you in our TEAMS lessons and continuing with our fantastic topics including materials in science, portraits in art, the history of the 50's and 60's, 'People and their Communities' in geography and the story of 'Creation' in RE.
Year 1 you are amazing and we have no doubt that you will rise to the challenge of this different way of learning.
See you all on the 'Big Screen!'

Autumn Term 2020
A big welcome back to our lovely new class 1!
We are SO excited to be teaching you all this year and it is even more exciting this time as we are
at last going to be all together again in one classroom!
We have a wonderful classroom ready and waiting for you and we can't wait for you to start learning with us.
As well as magical maths and incredible English, we have so many more exciting lessons planned, including finding out about our local area, learning about animals and reading some stories from the Bible.
We like to be creative in Class 1 so music is definitely on our menu and you will enjoy our art lessons too!
Oh...and remember your PE kit with trainers and something to keep you warm too as we will be doing our PE outside for a while.
You will love our class and we can't wait to share wonderful books with you, teach you cursive handwriting and let you use our wonderful role play area too.
Here's to a very happy year of learning with us.

We are delighted to see how well the children have adapted to being back at school full time. We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing their lovely smiling faces and have been very impressed with their hard work already!
If you cannot be in school for any reason at the moment, here are some links to useful learning activities at home. You can also access the Active Learn reading books and activities and there are also some fun things for you to do on Purple Mash.
Have fun and we really look forward to seeing you back in class very soon!
