Year R

Hello Class R,

 

We would like to welcome you to our St Matthew’s school family.

This is a very exciting time for you and your family and we will do our utmost to make the transition to school as smooth as possible.

 

Our Teddy Bear's Picnic is on Monday 4th September at 1.30pm.  Remember to bring a teddy bear and you do not need to wear your uniform for the picnic.

 

From Tuesday 5th September transition into school will start and your child will either be in school for a morning or afternoon.  A reminder of the session times - 9am - 11.30am or !2.30pm - 3pm.

The week commencing 11th September all children will bein school full time.

 

Water, milk and fresh fruit are available throughout the day and your child can help themselves. 

 

PE will be on Friday afternoon, so please send your child to school already dressed in their PE kit on that day.  PE will start the week beginning 11th September.

 

We have lots of fun and exciting things planned for this term and we look forward to welcoming you to Class R.

Early Years Foundation Curriculum Overview

Hello Class R

 

I would like to welcome you back to school for our final half term!

I hope you have all had a wonderful, relaxing break and had lots of fun in the sunshine!

 

We have a very busy, exciting half term ahead with lots to look forward to, including Sports Day and a visit to Warrington Museum, where we will engage in 'Percy Parkeeper' activities, including making a clay hedgehog.

I am looking forward to hearing all about the exciting things you have been up to during the holidays.

Having an amazing time at Delamere Forest.

Hello Class R,

 

I hope you have all had an amazing Christmas break and lots of fun with your family and friends!

 

This term is going to be busy, with lots of exciting things planned.  Tuesday will be our first visit to Forest Schools and we are all very excited......especially the thought of going there on a bus/coach. 

Could I please ask that you send in a spare pair of trainers for your child to wear when we get back to school, as they will be muddy and also their PE kit in case they get wet.

 

Our topic this term is 'Transport' and we will be reading the book. The Naughty Bus'.

Autumn 2

 

Hello and welcome back to school Class R.

I hope you have all had a lovely half term break......I look forward to hearing all about it during our news time smiley.

 

This is a very busy half term with lots of fun things to look forward to.  Our topic this half term is mini-beasts and we will be reading, 'I'm Going to Eat This Ant' book for our Pathways to write.

We will soon start practising for our Nativity, 'I Spy Christmas' and we also have our Christmas disco to look forward to....exciting!
