Autumn Term

Hello Class 1

I hope you all had a wonderful Summer and are ready to return to school for a very busy, but exciting term. We will be covering many different topics and learning lots of new things along the way.

Notices and Reminders

Water Bottles

In class 1, children will need their own water bottles, which they can fill up throughout the day using the water fountain.

Snack and Lunch

Morning snack and lunch orders will be taken in the morning. Fruit for afternoon snack is provided daily.

Homework

The children will receive x1 English or maths homework on a Tuesday and this will be due the following Monday. Children can hand their homework in at any time during the week once it is completed.

Spellings

Spellings will be sent home each Friday, ready for a spelling test the following Friday.

Reading Books

Reading books will be given out on a Friday and these will be kept for 1 week. Home reading should be completed three times per week and recorded in the yellow reading diaries. Please make sure that the children's reading books are in their wallets each Friday, so that they can be swapped for a new one.

PE

This term, our PE days are Wednesday and Friday. Children are to come into school in their PE kits on their PE days.
