It’s FRIDAY! A big well done for all of the work that you have been completing! I hope that you all have a lovely weekend! And that you are getting ready for Monday! I can’t wait to see you! Here is your work for today!

 

MATHS ACTIVITY: Complete one of the activities in the Mathsphere booklet. 

 

MATHS ACTIVITY: Arithmetic paper. You don’t need to print this, you can just answer in your book.

 

PURPLE MASH: Should people recycle their household waste? Use this worksheet to prepare for a debate. If you wanted to, you could record your debate with a member of your house hold and send this in? Alternatively you can write about it in your exercise book using counter conjunctions (on the other hand, ;however, although) and explain your ideas and back up your arguments well! 

 

Thursday 25th June

 

Thursday! Yay! One more day until the weekend! I can’t believe next week I get to see you all (socially distanced of course!) We have lots of nice activities planned rest assured! Here is your work for today.

 

MATHS ACTIVITY: Complete one of the activities from the Mathsphere booklet.

 

READING ACTIVITY: Comprehension paper. Again, you don’t have to print this you can just answer the questions in your book.

 

RE Activity- Please see that activity attached on the sheet below. Remember to complete this in your book.

 

SPELLING ACTIVITY: Complete relevant spelling activity in spelling booklets or complete the activity put up online. (8)

 

WRITING TASK (PURPLE MASH): Write a news report about an earthquake. Again it would be lovely if you could complete this as a newspaper report in your exercise books.

Remember you can split your page into columns and consider your newspaper features. Remember to start with a heading and opening sentence. Then move onto paragraphs containing the 5Ws (who, when, what, where and why). Then move onto your quotes paragraphs containing both direct and indirect speech finishing off with a conclusion paragraph telling the reader where you are up to now.

PURPLE MASH: Write an informative account about earthquakes and research about them. Again, you are more than welcome to create an information leaflet or poster about this in your exercise book. 

 

E-SAFETY: Internet safety quiz! Complete a quiz about safety online.

PURPLE MASH: Choose three dinosaurs to describe. You can complete this in your books and draw a diagram if you wish. Remember to use figurative language to help to describe.

TIMES TABLE ROCKSTARS: x10minutes daily times table practise.

 

PURPLE MASH: Write a newspaper report about dinosaurs invading Hong Kong. Again, I feel this would be really nice for you to complete in your exercise books as a written activity.
