Hello Class 3!

Welcome back to a brand new school year and your first year in Key Stage 2! I hope you have all had a lovely, relaxing summer and I can't wait to hear all about what you have been up to. This year, we have lots of new and exciting topics in Year 3. Below, I have attached a curriculum map which shows what we will be learning about across the year. You will also find knowledge organisers for our Autumn term topics.

In Class 3, homework will be handed out on a Tuesday and will be due in on the following Monday. Spellings will be sent home every Friday, ready for a spelling test the following Friday.

Please also make sure that you are reading daily at home and record this in your reading diary. These will be checked each week by myself or Mrs Murray on a Friday. It is also important that you are practicing your times tables at home too. By the end of Year 3, you should know your 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 and 50 times tables, so if you can focus on these that would be fantastic.

This half term, we will have PE on a Monday afternoon, however please make sure that PE kits are in school each day in case we have any timetable changes. I understand that not everybody will bring their PE kit into school on the first day, but if you could please bring it in as soon as possible before Monday 13th September, that would be amazing.

I am very much looking forward to being your class teacher and I know you are all going to work extremely hard and learn lots of new things.

If you have any questions, please just ask and I will be happy to help.
