Year 2
Summer Term 2015
Well, the Summer Term has arrived and we have another action packed term ahead. I hope you all had a lovely Easter Break and are now ready and excited about our new term together.
Our topic this term is going to be LIGHT and DARK (find out more on the Curriculum Newsletter below).
We have some dinosaurs arriving at our school, and Infant Music Festival to take part in, Sports Day and many more exciting things coming our way.
Spring Term in Year 2
Welcome back to the Spring term. We have a very busy term ahead, including Mothering Sunday and our Easter Service in Church.
We also have World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. Remember to dress up as your favourite character. Who will the teachers dress up as I wonder?
Our topic this term is:
LIVING on an ISLAND
This topic will be mainly geography based. We will be looking at islands around the world. Our Literacy work will be based on the stories about Katie Morag by Mairi Hederwick. These stories take place on the fictional island of Struay, but the author was brought up on the Isle of Coll. We will be studying this island and finding out all about it.
We will be finishing our vehicles in the next couple of weeks and look out for your new Home Learning project choices on Friday March 6th.
We are expecting some little visitors soon, I wonder who they could be?
Keep reading every evening, practise your times tables and your spelling and enjoy our action packed term ahead.
