Climate Change

Year 5 have been learning about carbon footprints and the WWF’s Campaign to raise the profile of climate change. The children researched an area of climate change that was particularly important to them before considering ways in which they could reduce their carbon footprint.

Plastic Pollution

Year 5 looked at the dangers and environmental impact of single use plastic. The children discussed the impact of plastic on the environment and explored alternative scenarios (to reduce the need for single use plastic in daily life). They wrote their own pledges to explain how they could reduce the amount of plastic they use.
