MID DAY ASSISTANT

Grade 3 SCP 4-5
7.5 hours per week
The Governors of St Matthew’s CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a Mid Day Assistant who is available for seven and a half hours per week, term time only. This is a permanent position to start September 2026.
We seek to appoint a self-motivated, caring individual to join our team of Mid Day Assistants supervising children from Reception through to Year 6 during the lunch break. Duties may involve setting up tables, supervising mealtime and outdoor play and games.
Previous experience not required, however, individuals should be able to display a caring, attitude towards all children.

If you are successfully shortlisted, you will be required to complete a ‘criminal records self-disclosure’ and we will gather 2 references. An example of our reference pro-forma is included in the application pack. Our recruitment process will include a formal interview.
The successful candidates will be subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service with Child Barring checks and the receipt of satisfactory references.
Visits to school by prospective candidates will be welcomed and encouraged and can be made by prior arrangement with our school office.
