Spring Term

Hello Class One,

I hope you have all had a wonderful half term break and are ready for another fun filled half term. We have lots of exciting learning opportunities planned to include planting and a trip to Beeston Castle! Please see below for our class notices and reminders.

Notices and Reminders

Homework

The children will receive either English or maths homework on a Tuesday and this will be due the following Monday. Children can hand their homework in at any time during the week once it is completed.

Spellings

Spellings will be sent home each Friday. Please complete the 'look, say, write' sheet to practise the spellings in preparation for a spelling test the following Friday. A phonics activity mat will also be sent home to be completed.

Reading Books

Reading books will be given out on a Tuesday and these will be kept for 1 week. Home reading should be completed at least three times per week and recorded in the green reading records. Please make sure that the children's reading books are in their wallets each Tuesday, so that they can be swapped for a new one.

PE

This term, our PE days are Monday and Friday. Children are to come into school in their PE kits on their PE days.
