Wellbeing Ambassadors
Introducing Our Wellbeing Ambassadors!

At St Matthew’s we care about everyone’s wellbeing, we want everybody to feel happy, safe and supported at school. Our Wellbeing Ambassadors are a special group of pupils, chosen for their kind, responsible and empathic attitude, who make sure that everyone feels included and cared for.
Everyday the Wellbeing Ambassadors can be found on duty at playtime to help and support their peers. They can be found organising playground activities and looking out for anyone who might be feeling lonely or upset. They encourage children to join in games and make new friends!
Working alongside Mrs Watson and Mrs Stow our Wellbeing Ambassadors lead by example, promoting kindness and respect to everyone. They plan and lead wellbeing activities such as assemblies and kindness challenges. We are so proud of the work they do and the impact they have.
Autumn Term
The Wellbeing Ambassadors have had a very busy start to the school year! Alongside Mrs Stow, the children have been working hard to improve their Wellbeing Hub!

Kitty’s shed has had a fresh coat of paint.
The children picked colours for the shed and asked Miss Simcock and Mrs Watson to vote for their favourite colour!
The Wellbeing Ambassadors wrote to Miss Simcock and the PTA to ask for money to purchase items that they needed for their Wellbeing Hub!

The Wellbeing Ambassadors created goodie bags for all of the teachers to help them along during parents evening.

The PTA kindly bought some new log seating for the wellbeing area. The Wellbeing Ambassadors will organise activities here.

9th - 13th February

The Wellbeing Ambassadors delivered an assembly to kick start Children's Mental Health Week. They told everyone about the exciting activities that will he happening!

The Wellbeing Ambassadors have been writing postcards this week to leave around school for children to find and keep.

On Tuesday they also delivered kindness postcards in the morning register to each class!

The Wellbeing Ambassadors went to each classroom on Wednesday for story time. They read books to the children that were about our theme of belonging, everyone really enjoyed it!

During Children's Mental Health Week the Wellbeing Ambassadors set everyone a kindness challenge. Every child was asked to complete an act of kindness and write about it on a piece of colourful paper. The Wellbeing Ambassadors took these and made a kindness chain that spread around our whole school! What a wonderful reminder of the importance of being kind and helping everyone to feel that they belong!
