Year 4

Welcome to Year 4's Class Page!

Dear Parents and Class 4,

Well I have arrived safely in France. Today, Wednesday, I have been in school learning French. It was demanding but fun. I have posted a couple of pictures to show you where I went yesterday. Carcassonne is a medieval town with lots of history. We had to complete a treasure hunt whichinvolved speaking to local people and finding out information about the place. Tomorrow I am going into school and will be giving them your letters and pictures.

Missing you. See you soon.

I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break.

What a busy and exciting term we have ahead of us. Let's hope the weather is fine for our residential trip to Malham. If you have any questions about this trip, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

We are looking forward to the Farm visit on Thursday and our science conference on the first Tuesday back. Year 4 boys have a couple of football competitions this term and both boys and girls teams will complete in the Broomfield's Bales Race.

Topic homework for this half term is on settlements. I would like the children to choose a settlement, e.g. a city such as London or a town such as Blackpool and produce a project on it. I will send out information outlining what I like the children to include in their project shortly.

Please, any issues, pop in and see me.

Mrs McClellan
