Welcome to Stretton St Matthew's! This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a strong, supportive and friendly team as a SEND 1:1 TA. We are a one form entry Church of England primary school situated in the village of Stretton, Warrington.  St. Matthew's is built on a Christian foundation and we put God at the centre of everything we do, equipping children with Christian values to prepare them for their lives.

At Stretton, every child is encouraged to discover and nurture his and her special gifts and talents through a stimulating curriculum that has global dimensions, going beyond the basic national curriculum requirements.

We have a dynamic team of teachers and support staff who act as exemplary role models, educating and nurturing each child, enabling them to achieve high standards of academic attainment whilst also enabling them to become capable, caring and confident human beings.

Stretton St Matthews has the advantage of being set in beautiful grounds next to St Matthew's Church and is surrounded by fields, farms and local community amenities. We have a traditional building equipped with excellent play, games and a large sports field.

Our curriculum is designed to provide the children of Stretton with the very best education rooted in excellence and Christian values.  We are proud of each and every one of our children and never cease to be amazed at their talents and the progress they make both in and out of school.

We are committed to our responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults as outlined in Working Together to Safeguard Children. We are committed to recruiting candidates who share this commitment to safeguarding, and therefore we apply robust recruitment and selection procedures to ensure that the people selected are right for the job, and that all candidates are appropriately screened prior to appointment.
