Parent Governor Election
We are looking to appoint a Parent Governor and would like you to consider whether you could serve St Matthew’s Primary School in this way. Governors play a key role in ensuring that the children of our community develop both academically and spiritually within a distinctive Christian ethos. We are looking for people who are able to support the school in all aspects of its work and are willing to commit time and effort to supporting the educational development of the children in the school. It is important that you have a willingness to commit to the role and an ability to ask questions whilst working with others to ensure the best outcomes for the children by challenging and supporting school leaders in equal measure. We encourage applications from a diverse range of knowledge and experience and we would particularly like to encourage applications from people in underrepresented groups. The role requires a full DBS disclosure and a commitment to undertake necessary training. the Local Governing Body meets on a half termly basis and the term of office for a Governor is 4 years. If you feel that you could take on this very important role then all we ask is that you complete the ‘Nomination Form for the Election of Parent Governors’, and return it to school no later than Wednesday 13th March 2024 at noon. We do hope you will consider working with us in the capacity of parent governor, supporting the work of our school and helping to make a real difference to our children’s school lives.
