Parent Consultation Group (PCG)
We recognise the importance of home, school and church working in close collaboration to deliver the best outcomes for our children. Our school mission statement embodies our beliefs and values and we ask our school community to support us in making our vision ‘alive’ in all. Our school vision focuses us on being an aspirational school, where all children can achieve highly to their utmost potential.
The Parent Consultation Group (PCG) provides a forum for the school to engage with parents and to offer them the opportunity to consult on school proposals to the headteacher and Governing Board. The PCG is a more accessible way to involve more parents in decisions about the school.
The PCG is not a forum where parents communicate complaints or discuss issues which are linked to their child. We have an open door policy and parents should contact the class teacher in the first instance if they have a concern – not a PCG member.
The Governing Board remains the decision making body and provides the strategic leadership of the school – it holds the headteacher to account for the performance of the school. The PCG has a consultative and advisory role and the governing board welcome feedback from parents and pupils.
